One True Sentence

 Ernest Hemingway said:

“All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.”

My brother died two months ago and I want him to be alive again.

That is the truest sentence that I know.

This is the truest sentence I know that somebody else wrote:

“The meaning of life is that it stops.”  Franz Kafka

On September 22, 2014 my younger brother, my only sibling, the person always there to provide validation when I didn’t deserve it, skepticism when I didn’t want it, the truth when I needed it most, the only person that I could talk to about the things that matter because I knew I would be understood, the one and only person who knew me….who knew my story, died in his sleep and left me alone.

This is the only way I know to keep  him with me.
